President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Sidi Ould Tah, has outlined a four-point agenda to guide his first 100 days in office, vowing to drive reforms with urgency and accountability.
He said his first 100 days will focus on four urgent priorities critical to the economic prosperity of Africa.
“First, listening with intent to our shareholders, to our clients, our partners, and our exceptional AfDB staff. So that our collective agenda reflects the real world’s needs and ambitions.
“Second, launching a fast track reform agenda to boost our operational speed, shorten our execution unlock bureaucratic bottlenecks.
“Third, deepening partnership with both African and global institutions, private sectors, so we can mobilize capital at a scale and deliver lasting impact, especially around the ADF replenishment and other needs.
“Fourth, accelerating solutions to expand access in finance, create jobs, empower women and youths and unlock African industrial and financial potential for generations to come,” he enumerated.
He pledged that the AfDB under his leadership would serve as the bank that bridges divides between region, between ambitions and execution, between public and private between regency and bureaucracy.
“Let us move forward together with urgency, with unity, and with unwavering accountability. Together let us transform Africa’s promise to prosperity. The time for delivery has begun. I thank you all so very much,” Dr. Ould Tah added.
Heritage Times HT reports that Ould Tah assumes leadership of the African Development Bank at a pivotal moment, as the continent grapples with rising debt burdens, climate-related shocks, and waning donor support.
His tenure is expected to steer the institution toward practical reforms, deeper regional integration, and development strategies that place young people at the center.
