American-Senegalese music star Akon has reportedly found himself in the middle of a high-profile legal battle as his wife, Tomeka Thiam, files for divorce after 29 years of marriage.
According to reports, Tomeka is demanding €100 million as compensation, citing years of irreconcilable differences. The couple, who had been together since the early days of Akon’s career, were once celebrated as one of entertainment’s most enduring unions.
However, insiders claim the marriage had been troubled for years, with Tomeka accusing the singer of emotional neglect and lack of financial transparency. Sources also allege she had considered leaving for some time, especially after Akon’s multiple relationships became public.
