The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the schedule for the 2025 Nations Cup qualifier.
The disclosure is coming few weeks to the 2023 AFCON slated for Cote d’ivoire between January 13 and February 11, 2024.
According to CAF, the 2025 qualifier will be between March 18 and 26 for the preliminary round.
The first and second rounds of the match will run from September 2 to 10.
The third to fourth round of games will be from September 7 to 15, while the final round of matches are slated for November 11 to 19, 2024, when up to 24 countries are expected to secure qualification places.
Morocco will host the 2025 AFCON after Guinea was stripped of its hosting rights following a review by CAF.
During 2023 AFCON which gets underway in less than three weeks, all participating nations will be eager to grab the trophy when hostilities end.
And Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau will be gunning for the fourth silverware after winning the 2013 edition under late Stephen Keshi as coach.
