No fewer than 58 inmates have escaped after suspected hoodlums attacked and burnt a police station and correctional Centre at the Okitipupa area of Ondo State.
The incident has been confirmed by the Spokesperson for the Ondo Police Command, ASP Tee Leo-Ikoro who spoke to newsmen in a telephone interview.

Although witnesses confirmed that some officers sustained injuries from the attack, it is yet unclear if the incident lead to deaths.
