The Cameroon delegation are about now arriving Lagos ahead of the highly anticipated double-header international friendly against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
Heritage Times HT reports that the 23-player delegation, accompanied by coaching staff, backroom personnel, and officials from the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), will land at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos from Douala via Cameroon Airlines.
Arrival Location
They will proceed directly to Am2pm Hotel and Suites in Ijebu-Ode, where the Super Falcons have been based since their camp opened on Monday.
The first leg of the friendly series will take place on Saturday, May 31, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.
The return fixture is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, at the recently refurbished MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
Both matches serve as crucial preparations for the upcoming CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025.
Squad Release
Meanwhile, the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has announced a 24-player squad to face Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
FECAFOOT released the squad list on Friday morning, confirming the players selected to represent Cameroon in the friendlies.
Nearly Botched
The late arrival of the Cameroon team, Heritage Times HT gathered, is characterised by initial attempt to botch an already scheduled test match.
However, teething issues were ironed out by both FECAFOOT and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials on Thursday, prompting the movement of visiting side day before the first leg action.
