Despite spirited efforts, Inter Milan late Tuesday night defeated Barcelona 4-3 in the second leg semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.
The victory means Inter, Italian giants overcame current Spanish La Liga leaders 7-6 on aggregate.
The return leg in Italy like the first leg encounter in Spain ended 3-3 on regulation time.
It was at extra time that Inter squeezed out the winning goal.
David Frattesi struck the decisive goal in the 99th minute of extra time.
Also, Inter’s goalkeeper Yann Sommer made 14 saves across the two semi-final legs, a feat that lifted his side at last.
Inter will how face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal in the final in Munich in few weeks time.
Specifically, the final is scheduled for May 31, 2025, Heritage Times HT reports.
