French League giants Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday night won their maiden UEFA Champions League title after beating Inter 5-0 in the final in Munich.
With the victory, PSG set a record, becoming the first club in Champions League history to win a final by five goals.
On the other hand, Inter Milan suffered their second Champions League final defeat in three years.
Action Point
The French team were in control of the game from the beginning, as Achraf Hakimi scored in the 12th minute and Désiré Doué made it 2-0 with a strike in the 20th minute.
Doué hit the back of the net again in the 64th minute to secure the victory for his club, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia extended the lead further after a counterattack in the 73rd minute.
Senny Mayulu set the final score in the 86th minute.
Treble Feat
At the end, PSG have become the only club among Europe’s top-flight leagues to clinch the treble in the just-concluded season.
Also, Coach Luis Enrique has become the second manager to win the treble with two different teams – Barcelona and PSG.
The only manager to have ever done it before now is Pep Guardiola with Barcelona and Manchester City.
