Incumbent Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has reportedly stepped down from the presidential race and has thrown his weight behind the candidacy of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Tambuwal’s decision came late on Saturday night while the votes of delegates trickled in.

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently holding its National Convention to select its Presidential flag bearer for the 2023 general election.
