Ofili surged past a competitive field that included the USA’s Kayla White, who finished second in 11.07s.

This performance further cements Ofili’s place among the fastest sprinters in the world this season.

The Nigerian Women’s 100m National Champion also triumphed Mikkiah Brisco, who finished third in 11.22s, while Tamara Clark finished 4th.

Ofili, who holds the Nigerian 200m record at 21.96s, was making a return to the track for the first time since making global headlines last month when she shattered the women’s 150m world record at the Adidas Atlanta City Games with a blistering time of 15.85s.

In another heat, Rosemary Chukwuma delivered a stunning performance, clocking 10.93s to take the win ahead of Olympic medalist Gabby Thomas, who ran a time of 10.96s.

Chukwuma, 23, has been in red-hot form of recent, having earlier clinched a season’s best time of 11.03s at the Star Athletics Sprint Series in Florida earlier this month, which saw her book a spot at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
