Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Paseiro will on Saturday 25th June 2022 attend the NPFL Matchday 35 clash between Akwa United Fc and Plateau United at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Recall that the Portuguese was a guest at the Kwara Sports Complex on Sunday 19th June 2022 when Junior Lukosa’s first half strike helped Kwara United to a 1-0 win over Sunshine Stars on Matchday 34.
Paseiro will have the opportunity to watch Super Eagles goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka who is expected to replace Uche Okafor in goal for Akwa United Fc following his return from international duty.
Peseiro had earlier revealed that doors are still open for new players in the current Super Eagles squad to also include players from the domestic league.
Aside Adeyinka who has worked with the Portuguese Manager already, other players will also have an opportunity to impress the Super Eagles Head Coach and possibly earn a call up to the National team when they regroup in September.
The prescence of the Super Eagles Head Coach will make the Akwa United Fc vs Plateau United game even more interesting.
Pesiero took charge of the Super Eagles in May following the sacking of now Technical Adviser of the national team Augustin Eguavoen.
Peseiro who was appointed Head Coach of the Super Eagles in May would go on to lead the team to a historic 10-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
His first two games in charge of the team both ended in defeats, but went on to secure his first victory against Sierra Leone a week after his appointment.
