After nearly 10 hours of standoff, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has picked up Senator Rochas Okorocha from his Abuja residence.
Heritage Times HT had reported that the anti-graft agency had broken into the Maitama residence after gunshots were heard in the vicinity.
The EFCC during the operation, kept journalists at arms length, and subsequently ordered them out of the premises. The operative used teargas to disperse journalists whi resisted.
It was also gathered that the operatives when they stormed the residence, they insisted that Okorocha, who is seeking to contest the presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), must honour an invitation sent to him.
