Nigerian fans allegedly stormed the pitch at the Abuja National stadium to attack Ghana players following the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The much anticipated encounter witnessed the stadium jam-packed with over 60 0000 spectators as Ghana held on to a 1-1 draw to secure a spot in Qatar later this year.
Few minutes after the referee’s final whistle, fans angrily invaded the pitch, vadalising and destroying facilities of the newly renovated stadium.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup kicks off in November.
