Four members of the House of Representatives from Zamfara State have joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development comes barely one week after Governor Bello Matawalle dumped PDP for APC.
The defectors are Bello Hassan Shinkafi, Ahmed Bakura, Ahmed Shehu and Suleiman Gumi.
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, read their letters of defection at the opening of the session.
In the letter signed by Honourable and Suleiman Gumi and read at Tuesday plenary, the lawmakers said they were leaving the PDP because of the crisis within it, which led to dissolution of the state chapter by the national leadership of the party.
The latest defection also comes not long after Two Zamfara senators officially defected from the PDP to the APC citing the collapse of internal democracy and crisis as their reasons for leaving the PDP.
