Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri on Tuesday Commended the Nigerian Content Development and monitoring Board (NCDMB) for its efforts in improving and promoting Science and Technology within the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.
Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Engr Simbi Wabote while delivering the opening remarks at the Grand Finale of the event, equally thanked the state government for their support in promoting Science and Technology among youths.
Simbi further charged the participants to continue in their innovative spirit and passion for science and technological development in the country.
The NCDMB in collaboration with Enactus Nigeria, organised the just concluded Science and Technology Innovation Challenge (STIC) 2021 which held at the Nigerian Content Tower, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
The competition had six finalists from various Tertiary Institutions in the country, who displayed their various science-based innovations, as they vied for the grand prize of N10m.
The finalists were from the Federal University of Agriculture, Markurdi, Cross River University of Technology, Tai Solarin University of Education, University of Jos, and Federal University of Technology Owerri.
