Indications emerged on Wednesday that Napoli are already weighing options of replacing Victor Osimhen with two Nigerians.
They are Victor Boniface and Akor Adams.
While Boniface currently features for Bayer Leverkusen, Adams plays for Montpellier.
This is as Chelsea are reportedly making plans to capture Osimhen in a bid to redeem the struggling club in the ongoing season.
Chelsea appear to have lashed on to a dingdong situation in the contract extension talks between Osimhen and last season’s Serie A winners.
His current deal is up in the summer of 2025.
And there are pointers that Napoli would command a fee which would exceed Chelsea‘s club-record of £115m outlay on Moises Caicedo, and 90min reports they are already looking at alternative options to Osimhen in the event that he departs the club.
Osimhen’s many goals led Napoli to triumph in the league for the very first time in 33 years.
