President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated his predecessor, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, ahead of his 63rd birthday (November 20, 2020).
The president, in his felicitation message, conveyed through a statement issued on Thursday by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, congratulated Dr Jonathan for a life of service that he said had brought honour and goodwill to the country.
Buhari who observed that Jonathan has reached great heights in ascent on the ladder of Nigeria’s politics, added that the former president’s recent appointment as ECOWAS envoy to Mali was a testimony of his political acuity and dedication to serving Nigeria and Africa at large.
The president prayed that the Almighty God will grant Dr Jonathan longer life, good health and more wisdom to keep serving the nation and humanity.
