Real Madrid will be without Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti for Wednesday’s Champions League tie at Chelsea, as his son Davide is set to dish out instructions in his stead.
The Italian appears set to miss out on a return to the club where he previously worked after testing positive to coronavirus.
The former AC Milan gaffer was not seen at the dugout against Celta Vigo on Saturday and he’s unlikely to be able to travel with the rest of the squad.
Carlo’s son Davide Ancelotti, is on standby to deputise for a second time in four days if at least one negative test is not recorded.
Davide, 32, has become a regular member of Ancelotti’s staff looking back at the Italian’s stints at PSG, Napoli and Everton.
The last time both teams faced-off was in last season’s Champions League semi-final clash – where the European champions Chelsea emerged 3-1 winners on aggregate score to reach the final.
