Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic have been drawn in Group A for the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations.
The tournament, which is set to take place from 10 to 23 July 2025 in Prampram, Ghana, promises an intense battle for semifinal qualification, with only two teams advancing from each group.
The clash between Nigeria and Ghana, two of the most successful footballing nations in West Africa, is expected to be one of the marquee fixtures of the group stage.
Benin Republic will look to replicate or improve on their strong showing in recent tournaments and disrupt the expected Nigeria-Ghana dominance in the group.
Group B, made up of four nations – Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and Togo, is expected to be fiercely contested.
