Nigeria’s Flying Eagles on Sunday safely arrived Buenos Aires, the Argentina capital, 13 days to the kick-off of the 2023 U20 World Cup.
The tournament is scheduled to begin May 20 and end June 11.
The Flying Eagles early arrival will afford them close to two weeks closed camping, including engaging in friendly matches.
The Flying Eagles Squad In Numbers
Up to 20 players made the trip which departed Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Saturday night via Istanbul Turkey, with the final list meant to be submitted on May 10.
Heritage Times HT gathered that, AC Milan U19 midfielder Victor Eletu will be the only player who will join the Flying Eagles squad in Argentina to make up the required 21-man squad.
Group Matches
Nigeria are in group D alongside Italy, Brazil and Dominican Republic.
Their first two games will hold in Mendoza, in the far west of Argentina, against the Dominican Republic on 21 May and against Italy on 24 May, before they fly to La Plata to play Brazil on 27 May.
Guatemala and New Zealand will square up in the opening match on Saturday, 20th May, at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, Santiago del Estero.

Nigeria’s are two-time runners up in 1989 and 2005, with a bronze medal in 1985.
The West African football powerhouse is making its 13th appearance after first featuring 40 years ago in Mexico.
