Popular Nollywood Actor, Alex Ekubo has demanded the renaming of the Lekki Tollgate in memory of the lives that were lost on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Ekubo made this known in a post on his verified Instagram page on Thursday.
Recall that exactly two years ago the entire nation was thrown into lamentation following shootings in the Lekki Tollgate allegedly carried out by the Nigerian Army to stop the youths protesting against police brutality.
Ekubo shared photos from the protest against police brutality during the #EndSARS protest that took place last two years.
He wrote: “Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day. 20 – 10 – 20. We will return the favour. The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
“I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way & remain toll free forever. We paid in full with our blood.”
