According to FIFA, the Super Eagles have dropped out of the top five in Africa, with Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt leading the continental top chart from first to fifth placements.

Also, the five countries with four being north Africa-based, are placed higher in comity of Nations.

The world ranking shows Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt placed 13, 20, 29, 34 and 35 positions respectively.

Nigeria occupy 40th position and sixth in Africa, despite heaping heavy defeat on Sao Tome and Principe.

South Africa and Benin Republic dropped to 65 and 94 places respectively, while Zimbabwe maintained their position at 125 and Rwanda also remained at 139.

Also, Saudi Arabia, who will play the Super Eagles in a friendly in October, dropped to 57 spot.

Argentina, who scored four goals without conceding any in the last international break against Bolivia and Ecuador, maintained their top spot in the ranking with France, Brazil, Belgium and England rounding up the top five.
