Star footballer Victor Osimhen netted twice to deliver a match-winning performance that ensured Galatasaray defeated Trabzonspor to win the 2025 Turkish Cup.
Galatasaray forward, Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the encounter, before the Nigerian-born striker grabbed a convincing brace in the 46th and 63rd minutes, respectively.
Galatasaray have now clinched the Turkish Cup for the 19th time.
However, the Yellow and Reds last won the Turkish Cup six years ago, during the 2018/19 season.
The team is also on the verge of winning the Turkish Super Lig, aiming for a domestic double.
The Turkish Cup is Osimhen’s first trophy in Turkey since joining on loan from Napoli.
Osimhen’s performance since his arrival at the Turkish club earlier this season has continued to improve, with several English Premier League clubs and others jostling to sign him.
He has so far scored 35 goals and provided five assists this season for Galatasaray.
