The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated the Republic of Rwanda on the celebration of its Independence Anniversary, praising the East African nation’s resilience and remarkable strides in socio-economic development.
This was contained in a statement issued by Kimiebi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Honourable Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.
Ambassador Tuggar extended warm felicitations to Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, His Excellency Olivier Nduhungirehe, and the entire Rwandan people, describing the anniversary as a momentous milestone in the country’s history. He noted that Rwanda’s journey reflects the enduring spirit of its citizens and a model of transformative leadership under President Paul Kagame.
The Minister applauded Rwanda’s commitment to peace, innovation, and continental leadership, stating that the country’s achievements continue to inspire nations across Africa.
“As fellow members of the African Union and the Commonwealth, Nigeria values the strong and growing ties between our nations,” the statement read. “We remain committed to advancing cooperation in trade, technology, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.”
Reaffirming Nigeria’s solidarity with Rwanda, the Minister expressed optimism for deeper collaboration to promote pan-African unity, shared prosperity, and inclusive growth.
The congratulatory message reflects Nigeria’s support for African nations committed to progress, stability, and regional integration.
