Aston Villa are gearing up for a potential offer to Nigerian international Paul Onuachu in the January transfer window.

Reports have revealed that Villa’s new coach Unai Emery is keen on land his first signing with the Genk goal poacher being his main target.

Onuachu is valued at ££21.5 million.

Onuachu, 28, has been in red-hot form, once again.

Since joining Genk in 2019, he has clocked up 82 goals in just 127 games for the Belgian side.

The 6ft 6 striker’s form has continued this season, netting an incredible 14 goals in 15 matches.

The Nigerian striker has constantly been linked with the Premier League.

Back in September, Onuachu said that Wolves had shown interest in bringing him to Molineux but instead, signed Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart when he suffered an injury.

So, the Wolves might reignite that interest from January.

But, it seems Villa are leading the way and ready to submit an offer to land the 16-time Nigeria star.

Villa are also looking the way of another Nigerian star.
