Liverpool have now won their 20th Premier League title, drawing level with Manchester United.
In claiming the current crown, the Reds have secured the title for the second time in five years.
A thumping 5-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday rubber-stamped Liverpool’s latest triumph.
Arne Slot has led his side to success in his first season, as the Dutchman becomes just the fifth manager to win the Premier League in his maiden campaign in English football.
Only José Mourinho (Chelsea, 2005), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2010), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City, 2014) and Antonio Conte (Chelsea, 2017) have previously achieved the feat, with Claudio Ranieri (Leicester, 2016) the only other boss to win the title in his first season at a club.
In the earlier kick-off on Sunday, United held Bournemouth to a 1-1 draw.
It was Rasmus Højlund who saved the Red Devils from a third successive Premier League defeat with a last-gasp equaliser.
United have not won the title since 2013, and the aim at Old Trafford next season is merely to get back into the top five, rather than battling with Liverpool for a 21st crown.
They have managed just six top-flight wins under their current Portuguese coach, are guaranteed to record their lowest points total in the Premier League era, and could suffer the club’s worst finish since they were relegated in 1973-74.
The Europa League is United’s last chance to finish the season on a high, with a semi-final first leg at Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
