Nigeria will have to trigger a spectacular moment in their last group match of the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, against Japan after losing a second game versus Spain on Sunday night.
It was an encounter that saw Spain secure a narrow and late 1-0 victory over Nigeria in their Group C football match.
The win has now qualified Spain to the quarterfinal, while Nigeria will have to beat Japan Wednesday afternoon to have any chance to progressing in the competition.
Japan are second in the group with three points after they beat Brazil 2-1 in a dramatic match.
Brazil are third also on three points but having scored fewer goals than the Asian champions.
