Manchester United late Monday night suffered a shock heavy defeat after Crystal Palace thrashed them 4-0
It was a Michael Olise double and goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell that helped Palace to a famous evening at Selhurst Park.
So, they achieved a Premier League double over Erik ten Hag’s side in a single season.

With the outcome of the match, United face an uphill task in their bid to play European football next season.
How Palace Reigned Supreme
As captured by Eurosport, incisive first-half goals from Michael Olise and Mateta set the Eagles on their way, taking advantage of a makeshift United defence which included Casemiro at centre-back, and things only got worse for the visitors after the break.
Mitchell added a third before the excellent Olise grabbed his second and Palace’s fourth – after a disastrous piece of defending from Casemiro.
Following the defeat on the Red Devils, Chelsea have gradually closed the gap with a brighter hope of climbing to European place, afterall.
