There is no end in sight for the industrial action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
This is as President Buhari insists that salaries will be only paid to members of the Union that have enrolled for Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information (IPPIS).
President Buhari made the clarification on Thursday while delivering his annual speech to the joint session of the green and red chambers of the National Assembly
He urged the leadership of ASUU to key into government’s plan of eliminating fraud from the educational institutions through IPPIS.
Members of the Association of Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been on an indefinite strike for months.
The union has stated that the strike would be called off when the federal government pay the salaries it owes to her members as well as provide an enabling environment for students to study.
