A Polish property group is seeking to address the nation’s declining birth rate by introducing an unusual incentive for its guests, rewards for couples who conceive while staying at its hotels.
The Arche Group, which operates 23 hotels and several other properties across Poland, highlighted the demographic crisis caused by a consistent 12-year drop in births on its official website.
As part of its new scheme, Arche Generations noted that couples who can prove that a pregnancy was conceived during a stay at one of its hotels will receive perks such as free special events, including baptisms.
Additionally, parents who go on to purchase a home from the group are eligible for a cash bonus of 10,000 zlotys (£2,100). The initiative is open to heterosexual couples where at least one partner is an adult Polish citizen residing in the country.
The programme also extends benefits to staff, with bonuses available to employees who have children.
According to the National Statistics Office (GUS), Poland’s population stood at around 37.4 million by the end of June, a decline of one million since 2015. In 2024 alone, the country recorded 157,000 more deaths than births, a gap expected to widen in the coming years.
