Super Eagles striking duo of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman who play for Napoli and Atlanta respectively in the Italian Serie A, have been nominated for the player of the month for October.
Both players in top form for their different Serie A clubsides are among the five players nominated for the Player of the Month for October.
Osimhen, 23, who failed to make an appearance for Napoli in September as a result of injury returned with a bang in October.
The forward scored five goals in three league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
The former Lille star scored a goal each against Bologna and AS Roma before netting a hat-trick versus Sassuolo last weekend.
Lookman on his part registered four goals in five appearances for Atalanta in October.
The pacy winger was on target against Fiorentina, Udinese, Sassuolo and Empoli.
The duo will battle AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Inter Milan’s midfielder, Nicolo Barella and Lazio star, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for the individual prize.
