Sensational Nigerian singer and one time Grammy Awards winner, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid dropped his “Essence” remix featuring Justin Bieber and Tems today August 13.
Wizkid had in a post on his social media handles on Thursday hinted his fans that something special was going to come their way this summer.
The song featured Canadian-born Justin Bieber who while thanking Wizkid for featuring him in the song, referred to it as the “Song of the summer”.
The original song Essence was first debuted on October 30 2020. It was the 11th track from his fourth studio album “Made in Lagos”.
Essence is a mix of Afro- pop and R&B and also a stand out song from that album. It was in Spotify song of the summer in June 2021 and listed among former United States President Barrack Obama’s favorite songs in 2020.
