Nigerian Professional Football League club Kano Pillars penned a Memorandum of Understanding with a private company in Kano Aspira Nigeria until the end of the current league season, according to The Punch.
The deal was disclosed by the chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu, after the parties reached an agreement on Thursday.
A statement issued by Aspira on Thursday, said the signing of the MoU was part of the club’s determination to reduce government’s interference in the running of the clubs affair.
Recall that Ex international and Super Eagles Team Coordinator Patrick Pascal had pin-pointed independent control of club as a major setback in the Nigerian League.
Meanwhile, the club also noted that the company’s flagship brand, VIVA, would be the official sponsor of the club and appreciated the management for the partnership.
