Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa has been ranked alongside ex Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and Cameroon legend Roger Milla in the list of Africans with most goals at the World Cup.
The list is made up of 11 African players, with the Super Eagles Captain sitting third on 4 goals behind, Gyan and Milla.
There are possibilities that the former CSKA Moscow winger can equal Gyan’s 6-goal record, but that would be determined by Nigeria’s qualification for the quadrennial tournament this year.
It’s certainly a remarkable feat for the 28-year-old striker who sits above legendary strikers Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o and compatriot Daniel Amockachi.
Musa scored twice against Argentina at the 2014 edition held in Brazil and went on to repeat the same feat against Iceland four years later in Russia. Thus, becoming the first and only Nigerian to score at two separate World Cups.
