Two of Nigeria’s Super Eagles hitmen – Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have continued to paint Italian Seria A with more goals.
While Osimhen who plays for Napoli now boasts of 13 league goals, Lookman, Atalanta goal poacher, has 11 in his kitty, Heritage Times HT reports.
In his latest display, Osimhen scored a lone goal against Salernitana over the weekend.
On the other hand, Lookman reduced the tally between himself and Osimhen to two after grabbing his 11th Serie A goal against Juventus.
The 25-year-old joined La Dea for €9m in August, 2022, and has proved to be worth every penny, having scored 13 goals in 19 appearances.
Already, Juventus are already looking to sign the deadly attacker who has been dubbed defender’s nightmare in the Scudetto.
Both players have been selected for the Serie A player of the month award category for January.
Meanwhile, England captain Harry Kane now with 266 goals for the club, joined Jimmy Greaves as its all-time leading scorer.
Kane’s lone goal was enough to see Tottenham past Fulham on Monday night, cementing their hold on fifth place and closing the gap on Manchester United in fourth on the English Premier League log.
