Celebrated American singer and songwriter Beyoncé has released the first single, Break My Soul, off her upcoming 2022 album Renaissance.
“Bey is back and I’m sleeping real good at night,” she declares on the track – Break My Soul – which was uploaded on different streaming platforms on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and garnered over one million views within three hours.
The single was released after the American singer announced that her album “Renaissance” will drop on Friday, July 29th, 2022.
Renaissance is the follow-up to Beyonce’s 2016 album Lemonade, which was her sixth consecutive number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
The catchy dance-friendly track was hailed as “reviving 90s house/dance” as fans raved about it on social media.
One wrote: “I love the fact that we never know where Beyoncé is going musically. Break My Soul is the first single but the album could sound completely different. That’s what is so fun about a Beyoncé era. All you know for sure is that you’ll get superb quality music and visuals!”
