With 10 days to the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup scheduled in Argentina, England has announced their final list of players which has already been submitted to the World football governing.
On the list, three Nigerians are included.
The Players
They include Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, Sam Edozie of Southampton and Daniel Oyegoke of Brentford FC.
Statiscally, Edozie has played 24 times for Southampton so far this season but only three times since interim boss Ruben Selles took charge.
Chukwuemeka has also played many games for Chelsea this season, while Oyegoke has appeared in the cup games for Brentford.
England Group Fixtures
As the U20 World Cup tournament gets underway, the Young Lions will begin their campaign against Tunisia on Monday, May 22, before facing Uruguay on Thursday, May 25, and Iraq on Sunday, May 28.
All three group games are slated for the 53,000-capacity Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata.
The tournament is expected to last between May 20 and June 11, 2023.
