Unknown bandits in Zumba, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, has gang-raped a housewife, who is currently among the Internally Displaced Persons, (IDPs).
According to sources the housewife was said to have been kidnapped on Thursday, just after she left the camp to get some foodstuffs.
According to the victim who is currently receiving treatment at the Minna General Hospital, the bandits took her to a nearby bush and raped her one after the other to the point of death before abandoning her.
She said she lost consciousness at some point in time and recovered to find herself in the hospital.
The woman was picked up from the bush by some passers-by who rushed her to the primary health care centre in Zumba, before she was then moved to the Minna General Hospital where she is currently receiving medical attention.
