An Assistant Director of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) Mr Christopher Orji, has allegedly committed suicide in Abuja.
The 59-year-old University of Nigeria Nnsuka and Ahmadu Bello University graduate was until his death, the Coordinator of NABDA’s Bio Resource Centre in Langtang, Plateau State.
According to reports, Orji’s corpse was found dangling from a rope tied to a ceiling fan in his apartment at the Federal Housing Authority Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, after the deceased received invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to report at its Abuja office for questioning.
Police detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
It was also gathered that no suicide note was found at the scene of the incident.
