The Teranga Lions of Senegal have emerged champions of the 2022 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations after beating Egypt 4-2 on penalties on Sunday at the Paul Biya Stadium.
The match ended goalless after extra-time as Sadio Mane who saw his penalty saved in the fifth minute, tucked away the deciding spotkick to hand Senegal their first-ever AFCON title.
