On December 26, 2021, gunmen tried abducting his three children alongside their mother, Mrs Rita Akoso around Mabushi area of the nation’s capital, Abuja, on their way back from Church during the last yuletide season.

Before then, there was also a prior attempt on the children on November 28, 2021 at Lobi Quarters, Makurdi, Benue State.

Meanwhile, Mrs Akoso has alleged that the kidnappers are still threatening to kidnap her children, and has thus called on the authorities to invest more in security, and urged the public to always be on alert.
