The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released the names and photographs of 124 Nigerians slated for deportation as part of an ongoing immigration enforcement campaign targeting foreign nationals convicted of criminal offences.
The list, published by the DHS, identifies the Nigerians as among individuals arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and currently undergoing removal proceedings under the country’s immigration laws.
According to the department, those named are classified among its priority offenders and are being processed for deportation in line with the immigration enforcement policy of President Donald Trump’s administration, which focuses on the removal of non-U.S. citizens with criminal convictions.
The DHS, however, did not indicate when the deportation process would commence or disclose the specific offences for which each of the affected individuals was convicted.
Among those listed are Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, Mkpouto Etukudoh, Oluchi Jennifer and Chibuzo Nwaonu.
U.S. authorities said the deportation exercise forms part of broader efforts to remove foreign nationals with criminal records from the country and strengthen immigration enforcement. However, the department provided no additional details regarding the legal status of the listed individuals or the schedule for their repatriation to Nigeria.
