Apple is making every attempt to keep information regarding the future iPhone 15 series devices a secret, but it has been ineffective. In keeping with this, a recent report has made an important disclosure on the basic iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models.
The report claims that Apple intends to increase the gap between the vanilla and Pro models in the iPhone 15 series. While the Pro versions have higher-end specifications, the non-Pro iPhones already have modest features.
Notably, the specifications of the iPhone 14 Pro series variants and non-Pro iPhone 14 models differ significantly. The next iPhone 15 series, however, is expected to widen this gap.
For instance, according to some sources, the iPhone 15 Pro variants would feature updated camera systems and quicker processors. In addition, compared to their non-Pro siblings, these devices are probably going to have more RAM and a better display.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are likely to come with more RAM, according to TrendForce analysts. These phones might have an incredible 8GB of RAM, which would be more than the iPhone 14 series has to offer.
However, it’s unlikely that either of the stock variants, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, would have 8GB of RAM. Previous rumours suggested the iPhone 14 Pro variants would have more RAM.
Unfortunately, the rumor was unfounded because the iPhone 14 Pro variants only have 6GB of RAM upon release. It appears that Apple wants its newest processor to be combined with the enhanced RAM.
For those who don’t know, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to include the most recent Apple A17 Bionic technology. Therefore, there is a greater likelihood that the iPhone 15 Pro versions will receive more RAM.
On the other side, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will probably feature the A16 Bionic chip, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models. Additionally, Apple may introduce its first iPhones with a USB type-C charging connection the following year.
According to reports, Apple is getting ready to comply with the EU’s mandate by including USB type-C on the iPhone 15 series. It’s unclear, though, whether the iPhone 15’s Type-C connection would be country-specific.
