The current transfer window is expected to officially end by 12 midnight on January 31.

Onuachu has been prolific in scoring goals for his club Genk in Belgium.

He has16 goals in 19 league appearances to his credit.

Southampton are reportedly after the Nigerian forward to boost their relegation survival in the league.

Both clubs are said to be ‘speaking with the club and his representatives’ regarding a potential transfer deal.

Also, Everton are pursuing target Anthony Elanga over a potential loan deal.

The Swedish star has struggled for regular opportunities since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, who has instead called upon young talent Alejandro Garnacho and benefited from Marcus Rashford’s resurgence.

The Daily Mirror have suggested Elanga remains a ‘target’ for the Blues, but there is still a sense of ‘reluctance’ from the Red Devils to let the 20-year-old leave.

Similarly, Arsenal’s continued pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo could result in bad news for Everton as they begin to consider alternatives.

The Gunners have already seen two offers for the Seagulls’ wantaway star rejected and ‘could turn’ to Amadou Onana, according to the Times.

As at early Tuesday, Arsenal are close to agreeing a £12m deal with Chelsea for midfielder Jorginho.

The 31-year-old midfielder is expected to sign an 18-month contract, with an option to extend for a further year.

The Italian is into the final six months of his Chelsea contract and the Blues are trying to land a British record transfer for Benfica central midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

According to reports on Tuesday, Arsenal are in talks with Crystal Palace over a loan deal for Sambi Lokonga.

Aesenal have made two signings so far this month, and Mikel Arteta isn’t done just yet.

He signed Leandro Trossard signed from Brighton in a £27million deal, while the Gunners parted with £21m to prise Jakub Kiwior away from Spezia.
