The fastest hat-trick scorer in Europe, Gift Orban has been named Europa Conference League player of the week.
This was announced by the League organisers UEFA via its Twitter handle.
The tweet reads, “Gift Orban’s sensational hat-trick wins him ‘Player of the Week’ honours!”
The award is coming few days after Orban scored sensational hat-trick for his Belgian club, Gent in their 4-1 win over Basaksehir on Thursday March 16, 2023.
He scored the fastest hat-trick in Uefa competitions in three minutes and 25 seconds to achieve the feat.
He also scored four goals for Gent in the 6-2 win over Zulte Waragem in the Belgian league last Sunday.
Orban, who has earned an invitation to the Nigeria’s National U23 team, has now scored five goals in four Europa Conference League appearances so far this season.
