President Bola Tinubu has officiated the ceremonial decoration of the recently appointed Service Chiefs.
The significant occasion formally marks the commencement of their tenure as the nation’s foremost defence officers.
The event took place within the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, with the Vice President, Senator Kassim Shetimma, senior government officials, and the officers’ family members in attendance.
Recall the Service Chiefs’ appointments were officially announced on July 19th and they have since undergone thorough screening by the National Assembly.
Having successfully passed this rigorous legislative scrutiny, they now assume their pivotal roles as the chief architects of Nigeria’s defence and security strategies.
In his capacity as Commander-in-Chief, President Tinubu presented the new Service Chiefs with their prestigious higher office insignia, symbolizing the gravity of the responsibilities they now shoulder.
Each Chief, clad in their dignified uniforms adorned with the emblems of their esteemed positions, pledged their unwavering dedication to ensuring the peace, unity, and security of the Nigerian state.
