Former Nigeria Super Eagles coach José Peseiro is on the verge of returning to the Egyptian Premier League.
Peseiro is one of the leading candidates to take charge of Zamalek FC ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Al Masry this weekend.
The Portuguese gaffer has been without a job since departing Nigeria earlier this year.
He previously worked with Al Ahly before transitioning to a national team assignment.
Zamalek has been experiencing a crisis recently, and the team’s coach, José Gómez, left the club on Tuesday evening.
