Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan blazed back into top form at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet, clinching a dominant win in the women’s 100m hurdles with a swift time of 12.45s.
The world record holder bounced back after finishing second at the Paris Diamond League despite clocking a personal best this season.
It was a comfortable victory for the reigning African champion, finishing well ahead of Viktória Forster 12.74s (season’s best) and Sarah Lavin 12.76s (season’s best).
Forster is of Slovakia, while Lavin hails from Ireland.
After a mixed start to the season, this victory marks a significant confidence boost for Amusan, who is gradually hitting peak rhythm ahead of upcoming major competitions, including the Paris 2024 Olympics.
