March 16, 2025, has been scheduled for the final of the 2025 Carabao Cup between Liverpool and Newcastle United.
This comes after Liverpool, also known as The Reds, thrashed Tottenham 4-0 on Thursday night to book their place in the final, despite Spurs’ initial 1-0 victory in the first leg.
How the Reds Smashed Spurs
Heading into the return leg, the first half ended in a goalless draw, with the hosts failing to create clear opportunities.
However, the floodgates opened when Cody Gakpo put Liverpool ahead with a snapshot.
Mohamed Salah extended their lead from the penalty spot after Gakpo was fouled in the area.
Dominik Szoboszlai sealed the tie with a clinical finish, and captain Virgil van Dijk added a fourth goal.
For Newcastle, the Magpies defeated Arsenal 2-0 at St James’ Park on Wednesday night, following a 2-0 triumph in the first leg.
