Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Tuesday threw a subtle jab at a fellow presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu whlie speaking at the ruling party’s National Convention.
Amaechi, a former Governor of Rivers State while wooing delegates for votes, appeared to have mocked Tinubu when he said he is just “57, and not the oldest in the race.”
He urged delegates to judge him by his works and track records, and not judge him and the other aspirants by how much money they bring to the primaries to share.
“Don’t assess us by how much we bring here today. If it is by how much we bring here, then ask us what is our source of income, how did we get this money.
“Don’t vote for me if I lie to you. Don’t vote for me if I have not performed. But I have performed,” he said.
