Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is only four votes away from becoming the 46th President of the United States of America.
Biden has – at the time of reporting – polled no fewer than 264 College votes while incumbent President Donald Trump has just 214 votes.
Ahead of his expected victory, the US secret service began boosting protection of Biden from Friday as he gears up to deliver an electoral victory speech.
In the meantime, Biden and his campaign team are lodged at a convention centre in Wilmington, Delaware.
